After the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on the U.S., many individuals expressed their sympathy and sorrow with an incredible outpouring of donations. From increased blood donations at the Red Cross to monetary donations to various disaster relief charities, people from around the world united together to help the victims of this terrible tragedy.
